Use Memotrips for a getaway or a weekend trip
What is Memotrips ?Memotrips is a French startup that is reinventing the travel diary by making it mobile, social and fun. Aimed at travelers, the Memotrips digital travel diary was initially designed for relatively long trips. While exploring a few travel diaries among the thousands available on Memotrips, we quickly realized that travelers also create travel diaries for outings of just a few days, in order to save and to share recommended spots and activities to do.
How does it work?In concrete terms, Memotrips is a mobile application (Android and iOS) and a website that allows you to create your digital travel diary. Memotrips takes back the spirit of the travel blog while removing all of its inconveniences like the page layout, the necessity of having a PC and an internet connection, or the transfer of photos from one's smartphone to one's PC, etc.
From one side, the person leaving for the weekend is going to create their travel diary, then share it with their friends and family or open the access to anyone. Then, over the course of their journey, the traveler is going to added stages to it. Each stage represents a moment of the day like a stroll, a restaurant, an outing, or even impressions of a place.
From the other side, the friends and family of the traveler are going to be able to subscribe to the travel diary in order to be notified by email or by push notification each time that a new stage is added. Of course, it is also possible to return to the travel diary at any moment to see the timeline of the trip. In addition, it is possible to leave a comment on a stage, or to send a message via the Memotrips private messenger.

The traveler adds the first stage
At any moment the teacher can fill out their travel diary by adding stages to it via their Android or iOS smartphone, or via the website.
The mobile applications manage the offline mode, which means that an internet connection is not required for the teacher to add stages.
A stage is a moment of the day (a visit, a meal, etc.) defined by a title, description, location, time and date and eventually photos.
Friends and family subscribed to the travel diary are notified
As soon as a stage is entered and synced with Memotrips, friends and family are notified by email or push notification. They can then view the new stage and the photos, and leave a comment on them.
The traveler is notified with each new comment
As soon as a friend or family leaves a comment on the travel diary, the traveler is notified by email and by push notification. They can directly respond to them or use the internal messaging service for more confidentiality.
